Madame Tussauds is the most famous wax museum which has many of historica land royal figures, film stars, sports stars and famous murderer. It is in London but has other museums in Nueva York, Hong Kong, Las Vegas, Hollywood, Ámsterdam, Washington, Berlín y Victoria.
Madame Tussauds, who gives the name to the museum, was born in Strasbourg, Her real name was Anna Maria Grosholtz and was born in 1761 and died in 1850.She works as a housekeeper for Dr. Philippe Curtius in Bern, Switzerland, who was a physician skilled in wax modelling. Dr Curtius taught Madame Tussaud the art of wax modelling.
She made her first exhibition in 1835 in Baker Street, London, where she presented figures who were victims of the guillotine and opened a museum. One of the most important attractions of her museum was the Chamber of Horrors. This part of the exhibition included victims of the French Revolution and newly created figures of murderers and other criminals.
